Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 6 cups thinly sliced peeled apples
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. In large bowl, combine all filling ingredients. Toss lightly
  3. Spoon into pastry-lined pan
  4. Top with pastry. Fold edge of top pastry under bottom pastry
  5. Press together to seal. Flute edge
  6. Cut slits or shapes in several places in top pastry
  7. Bake at 425 degrees F. for 40 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown
