Apple Cranberry Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 c cranberries
  • 3 c sliced peeled apples
  • 1 c sugar
  • 2 T flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 T butter
  • Orange pastry
  1. Combine cranberries, apples, sugar, flour and salt. Mix well
  2. Turn into pastry lined pie pan
  3. Cover with top crust. Cut vents in top.
  4. Bake 400 degrees 50 mins. or until apples are tender

Orange Pastry:

  • 2 c flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2/3 c shortening
  • 1 tsp grated orange peel
  • 1/3 c orange juice.
  1. Blend flour and salt; cut in shortening until crumbly
  2. Add peel & juice
  3. Toss with fork till flour is moistened. Form into a ball.
  4. Divide in half
  5. Roll out one half on floured surface to fit 9″ pie pan
