Apple Brandy Praline Pie

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) Margarine, melted
  • 2 Tbsp. apple or plain brandy (when I don’t have apple I use plain)
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • Praline Topping
  1. In large bowl combine sugar, flour, and salt. Beat in eggs, corn syrup, margarine and brandy. Stir in apples. Pour into pie crust. Sprinkle with topping.
  2. Bake at 350ยบ for 50 minutes.
  3. Cool on rack.

PRALINE TOPPING

  1. In small bowl combine 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans, 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar and 2 Tbsp. softened Margarine.
  2. Mix with fork until crumbly

Note: Make Praline topping first, set aside.
