Angel Food Pie
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup crushed pineapple (OK if little bit of juice)
- 3 heaping Tbsp. of corn starch
- Cook the ingredients in top of double boiler until thick and clear
- Let cool to room temperature.
- Beat 3 egg whites and 1 tsp. pure vanilla until forms peaks
- FOLD into cooled pineapple mixture
- Pour into baked or bought pie shell.
- Serve with whipped cream
