1930’s Diner Chili

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 lbs hamburger
  • 1 30 1/2 oz Brooks Chili beans
  • 2 medium or 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp red hot pepper flakes
  • 2 Tbs. chili powder
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 15-oz can of diced tomatoes
  • 4 to 8 z water to thin.
  1. Put hamburger in large kettle with a little oil and cook over medium heat.
  2. Chop hamburger while cooking. Make sure you chop it finely
  3. Cook until pink disappears.
  4. Add balance of ingredients and cook covered for about 1 to 1-1/2 hours.
